Talking How do I run files as superuser?

How do I run files as superuser?

Not asked before in similar threads.

Can I do it so it is saved because I want to keep this setting?

Thanks

I don't know what do you mean by "run files" and why do you need to do that as superuser.
Probably sudo is the tool you need, but would be better to give us more details and/or some examples. Just to understand what do you need.

That's because you are not using Mint. Files is Nemo I now have Nemo running as elevated but still cannot delete a folder because it is read only.

I need to make all the folders to be writeable. I do not understand why they became read only in the first place.

Have tried to make the USB Writeable but not having any success in the terminal with this:

$ sudo hdparm -r0 /dev/sdb1

/dev/sdb1:
setting readonly to 0 (off)
readonly = 0 (off)

Does not seem to work for me?

edit:

even root can't do everything. It would help if you explain what the folder actually is and what happens if you try and do `sudo rm -rf <somefolder>`
Also do `ls -l <somefolder>` and this might help us to help you.
