I rebooted now showing the following message: grub prompt
I formatted my netbook and want to put a new program on it, and when I rebooted it is now displaying the following message: "GNU GRUB version 0.97 (631k lower / 2085696k upper memory) [Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. TAB lists possible command completions. "What should I do?
Per the rules all member-created content should be in English.
You might have deleted the partitions but the boot loader (GRUB) is still in the MBR. It can't find information it needs from the /boot directory and defaults to a command line prompt.
What do you mean my new program? If a new version of linux post the distribution/version. If you want to install a new operating system you need to either insert a flash drive or DVD disc that you created with the installer/live version and reboot the PC selecting it as the boot device.
how did linux get installed to the laptop to begin with and why did you formate it? What linux distro/version was on the laptop? what is the make and model of the netboot?
I have asked you twice to use English and therefore I am closing this thread.
If you want to install Windows you need to download an install image and write it to a USB flash drive. Without knowing the make/model of laptop we can not tell what you ask is going to work.
