Arrow Swapping out 16 GB Intel Optane with M.2 256 GB 2280 SATA 3 SSD with B+M key. Will it work?


Looking at acer swift 3 laptop with 16gb optane + 1TB HDD setup and wondering if mentioned swap will work on the new machine.

Not sure if that model includes both NVME & SATA channels to the m.2 port. You'd be better off getting an NVME m.2 drive, that swap would DEFINITELY work, as Optane uses the same bus as NVME drives.
