Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

To make sure I am in right pew - I have replicated the subtitle.
But if this is a wrong place to ask I am sure somebody will let me know soon.

These LCD/TFT modules of various versions are advertised - directly ( it is written on their PCB ) or indirectly as a replacement of HDMI display for Raspberry Pi. As such it is "supported" by multitude of "images / drivers ". Understandably RPi users are NOT interested in other usage than HDMI.

These handy displays have no manufactures support whatsoever to let it be used as a generic I/O device.

It has been reverse engineered by few hackers to a limited degree.

I am seeing somebody who would be interested to refine the current hacks.
