operating system not found after converting the template to VM in VMware VCenter

Hi,

We have a Redhat template in our VMware environment.
We converted it back to VM to make some changes in it but when we started this converted VM, it showed "operating system not found".
I am attaching the snapshot of the same.

What could be the reason of it ?
Where to begin as I am sure that the OS was installed in it & its not a new VM. Earlier it used to work properly.

Any point to start with to troubleshoot the issue ?

Thanks in advance.

How many partitions does the template have?
If there is a separate boot partition, it may need to be marked active in order to boot.
Also, below is a quote from someone whom experienced same issue, this comes from VCenter Community forums.
Quote:
Another conversion attempt to a flat (thick) disk instead of a thin-provisioned disk did succeed

I almost forgot to reply here.
Before I could get any chance to troubleshoot this issue, The corrupted templates were replced with other templates from another enviroment.
SO now I dont have anything to work with.

So, closing this threads.

Thanks for the help !

Enjoy
