I'm trying to install a 32bit linux lite 3.8 copy, on a pentium 4 GX270 system, 2GB of RAM. The error once I select the USB disk to install the os is, 'vesamenu c32 not a com32R image boot'
I did use universal USB installer to place it on the storage disk. I did that with the older version of lite, not sure what happened here.
I decided not to bother with this, and tried to install the 3.4. When I got to the install menu on the lite system, it requires a root selection. I don't know how to do that, I tried messing with the partition, free space sections, that hasn't changed anything.
I had on two systems, but I decided to remove them, as I thought I wouldn't need them as backups for temporary web use. Even recently went through my floppy disks, removing files, they were duplicate backups, not sure if I'll recycle them at some point, but while I have a couple of pentium 4 systems, may as well hang on to them.
So with 3.4 was what I had only last month on the GX270 small form factor, it won't install as it requirs having some kind of root section or something, so I can't use a partition to install the system on it as a result of that error.
And I used Universal installer, have always.
