isn't it amazing that there is always some new "stable" kernel to replace the old?

And I mean "old" as in "previous stable kernel".

I keep wondering if embedded Linux will do away with this perpetual upgrade nightmare or create a new one.

(I just got my system up to 2.6.11.3 and it's ok as far as I know... 2.6.11.4 is out already? now what?!?!?!)

Use what works. If you don't need any added
drivers of functionality of a new kernel, don't
get on the train of constantly changing...

dude... you don't HAVE to upgrade tot he latest and greatest kernel... they are just misc. bug fixes.. read what the changes are.. and decide if you need it.. if not, don't worry about it...

Debian Stable still uses a 2.2.x kernel by default... and it's about the most stable thing you can find... KDE 2.x !!?? c'mon you don't need to be *that* hardcore... but.. i hear that sarge is FINALLY going to be going stable about the end of April... well see...
