Hi* Everyday at particular point of time my root partition is full i am unbale to resolve this. after sometime it is below the threshold val

Everyday at particular point of time my root partition is full i am unbale to resolve this. after sometime it is below the threshold value
plz suggest cmds to resolve it* *what could be the cause

what OS is it at all? Do you know exactly what is there? Did you make any cleanup?

Since you tell us nothing about your system (version/distro of Linux, what kind of hardware, disk, what's running on that server, etc.), we have no idea. You don't even tell us the 'particular point of time'. We can't guess.

Provide details, and don't use text-speak, and we may be able to help.

As a guess, it is probably whatever you are doing every day immediately before that "particular point of time".

Look at your log files (system logs and application logs).

Boot to a Live CD/USB of something, mount your root partition, go from there to analyze what's using the space.

A web search for "root partition full linux" will turn up a number of resources that you may find helpful.
