Hi, I set up a local printer connected directly to my Suse Linux machine and it works fine.
Now I want to be able to print to this printer from another machine.
The machine in question is running XP, and there is a redhat machine running vmware "inside" of the XP machine. All I really care about is the redhat virtual machine.
So, I referenced some pointers in this thread from cevjr:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...g+suse+network
and I set up the cupsd.conf config file on my Suse machine. Then I went in to the client.conf file on my redhat virtual machine and put the IP of the server there (the IP of the Suse machine is 192.168.1.1 on my local network) The IP of the redhat machine is 192.168.136.128
It seems like the IP address of the redhat machine should be included somewhere in the SUSE machine's /etc/cups/cupsd.conf file so I tried adding a line to /etc/cups/cupsd.conf that says Allow 192.168.* (is that right?)
I can't see the printer from the redhat machine when i use
http://localhost:631 and click on printer. I don't know another way to view this machine.
Any help?
