Lol the only way I can of for eliminating them would for you to hit them with an old linux box running linux MCC so that they know were linux came from.
Now that's what I call drastic action. I mean, seriously, all those "kiddie" distributions are gonna be abandoned once the kids behind them are grown up and start using a Debian/Fedora/Slackware/whatever of their choice.
On the other hand, if that's just mentally stuck adults, we're probably screwed.

Just imagine a mid 20 or 30s guy/woman trying to act all serious while using a hannah monatana or tylor swift distro but it would be cool if a black hat hacker uses them for his/her cracking who would suspect a person with a hannah mpntana or justin beiber distrobution to be doing any evil deeds.
Am sure all the black hats in here are going to consider getting one of this puny and bright colored distros to reduce their chances if being caught

Like a distro named Sissy Linux for pen-testing which could be based off Kali or backtrack.
It could come with ubuntu SE color scheme and desktop settings.
that could be pretty cool
(Not a girl in a cage like you'll think:) Go-Go—Linux gadgets for sleuthing (with Gadget theme song) or Transform-a-bot—Linux clusters for good or evil and for goth kids, how about Hells-Gate—Linux now that we have a net powerful enough to open it? Attachment 13803
On the other hand, if one would create a botnet on a Linux distro aimed at (obviously) young kids, it would certainly take a long time to be identified, since most parents don't know -that- much, and most kids don't care.
Anyway, I wonder that the record companies don't do something about it - they could make a buck by sueing them, that is.
Ahh,Hannah Montana linux. IIRC the 'V2' version which was the last released was just kubuntu 9.04 with a different theme and background

This distros off the internet?
Not unless you want to break the GPL. Its pretty totalitarian to want to limit to distros to what you, or anybody else for that matter, considers quality.

How is a theme and a background on a major distro going to affect anyones 'chances of being caught'?

The users dont know or dont care rule can be applied to anything.
I dont see any reason why some 'kiddie' distro is going to have any greater chance of rootkitting than any other distro.
Even if the kiddie distros were more likely to be rootkitted, botnets are rarely if ever used for downloading copyrighted files.
