If you mean which distro should you use, you need to tell us what you want to do:
- do you want the very latest software, or older versions that are known to be reliable?
- do you like a user interface that is plain and simple (e.g. like Windows XP) or something full of fancy effects (e.g. like a Mac)?
- what sort of things do you use the computer for?
- what make and model is it?
your question is way way way too vague
it is like asking
what "motor vehicle" to buy
but do you need a 4x4?
a race car?
a ford f250?
a Hummer ?
a Landrover?
or a Lamborghini ?
(I will assume you are a Hannah Montana fan, since EVERYONE loves her, right? If you tell us more about yourself, we can give you better recommendations. )
Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) is now trying to outdo Lady Gaga in the slut department. A few years ago she was a nice sweet wholesome kid. Now she is merely gross. I am not sure that I would want her on my desktop.
It might also be worth noting that the desktop is not the same thing as the distro.
For my desktop/window manager, I use E17 (with Slackware and Mageia) and Fluxbox (with Debian), depending on the computer. I used to use Fluxbox with everything, but rather like E17.
So is the internet, what do you want the NSA to clean it up for you? Your sig is rude but I still like it even RMS:
Code:
fortune -m "RMS"
...
%
<stu> you should be afraid to use KDE because RMS might come to your
house and cleave your monitor with an axe or something :)
%
...
If I say pass the potato will you give me catchup?
