You should observe a noticeable increase in the touchpad speed. You may need to adjust the value to suit. If it works as desired then you can make it permanent with a custom Xorg file eg /etc//X11/xorg.conf.d/90-touchpad.conf....

Code:
Section "InputClass"
         Identifier "ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad"
         Option "AccelerationScheme" "none"
         Option "AccelSpeed" "0.7"
EndSection
Thank you very much, ferrari. I increased the value to 1.0 andit's perfectly usable now.

Any idea on how to fix the time issue?

Glad to have been of guidance.

In general you should not mix issues in threads. Did you read michaelk's advice re ntp (post #6)?

True, I should have made 2 threads. I have ntp installed. I'm stuck on that one.

This solved the time issue: https://www.digitalocean.com/communi...n-on-debian-10 - note the 'Step 3 — Switching to systemd-timesyncd' section. michaelk pointed me in the right direction re timesyncd.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate your assistance.
