Wink just installed xscreensaver in Kubuntu 16.10 and cant find it!


I need something to click on to bring the control window up to change screensavers and to tell it when to start when im not using my computer. Thanks much!

Xscreensaver should be in your Applications Menu.

If you still can't find it open your terminal and type xscreensaver and it should launch for you.

If all else fails, you can run xscreensaver-demo from the command line to open the configuration dialog.

Above all you should be installing something that is supported. 16.10 is unsupported. 17.10 will be out next month. 17.04 or 16.04 LTS only real options at this point. I suggest 16.04 LTS unless you like to upgrade every 6 months or so.
