Hello, my system has been fine for a long time. Recently, the mouse cursor freezes or sometimes it disappears.

It's getting almost unusable at times, then calms down a bit perhaps. I haven't been able to trigger it deliberately or notice any trigger activity.

I've had a bit of a search on here & generally, but nothing seems to fit.

Any idea what I can start to look at?

System monitor reports:
I'm running LM 20.1 kernel 5.4.0.177 & Mate 1.24 desktop
32gb RAM
i7 3.8gHz (getting on a bit)
AMD Turks (Radeon HD 6670, also getting on a bit)
16.5gb available disk space

The first thing I'd do is try a different, known-good mouse. It's an easy test and, at the very least, would rule out problems with the mouse itself.
