Hi,

Could anyone help me with this, please?
I am trying to update Manjaro because there is a message to say that there are over 200 updates available, but when I click on Octopi to download and install them, I get this:

Whether I say yes or no to the first option and/or the second option, I still get this error message.

How do I remove the conflicts? I have looked on the website and it suggested editing pacman.conf in order to remove conflicts, but when Ilooked at the file the suggested edits were already there by default.
I have also tried

but that produced the same error messages.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks Germany_chris, that solved the problem. I seemed to get into a loop and was getting more and more frustrated, not to mention bad tempered, so that command saved Manjaro from being deleted.

You're welcome but you should not give up on a distro so easily..

If you didn't google the command it just removes the program/dependency without checking to see if other things are dependent upon it, it should only be used if you are trying to replace something with something equal as it were. You should probably peruse the Pacman rubric.

That's true. BTW, you don't need "glamor-egl" package?

I will bear that in mind Germany_chris and not be so impatient next time! I did a lot of Googling, but nothing that was of any help came up. Even the articles about file conflicts were no help in this case because all the things that were recommended to be done were already done.

Thanks for your input Enidu. I don't really know what "glamor-egl" is for. I am fairly new to Linux and totally new to Manjaro

This wiki page might be help you. You know, I was a Manjaro user too. Manjaro is the best Arch based distro I ever used. So, don't give up on Manjaro that easily.

Thanks for those links Enidu. I have read them and now know a bit more. You say you *were* a Manjaro user, so what are you using now and why did you change?

Using Arch now, because I wanted learn about Arch in bit deep. You know, Manjaro is user friendly.
