can't burn DVDs, Konqueror gives "Unable to create io-slave:"

If I load a blank DVD, K3b comes up and asks if I want to create a data DVD etc.
I do the usual and find that the Burn icon is grayed out.

If I click on the Desktop CD icon I go into Konqueror and get: Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol ''.

I can read a film from the CD drive without pbs
Any ideas

Install k3b, that should enable your burn support.

Looks like it's fixed, I installed the latest version of k3b,

it must of been the:

" * Always wait for the drive to become ready before starting verification (this should fix some of the problems with failed verification where K3b claims that no medium is in the drive.)".
