After Grub Repair windows ask me press any key to boot.
Hello.
I installed Windows after Ubuntu and my boot loader removed and Ubuntu can't booted. I repaired my Grub and Ubuntu booted without any problem but when Windows 7 wants boot, It ask me Please any key and then Windows booted. How can I solve it?
windows really NEEDS the windows bootloader on the MBR of the first listed drive
if it is not
windows updates WILL FAIL!!! ( not all but A LOT WILL FAIL to install
and when Win7 tries to "fix it" i might / will FUBAR the win 7 install
this IS new behavior for win 7
almost all the current updates WILL fail if windows is not the first drive and the ms bootloader is not on THAT mbr
it used to be ONLY the service packs did this
then service packs and ALL "dot net framework" updates
now
service packs and ALL "dot net framework" updates and RANDOM "optional updates" and "security updates" are doing this

Rep:
always reserve C: drive for windows , Load ur Linux on D or other Drive !
1] You might want to erase and reload your Hard drive .
2] configure your hard drive first , [do a several of 50-100 gig partitions]also set aside a swap partition now if u know the size !
3]Load windows first and also let windows have c drive , and set d drive to save files in MSFT format [ Linux will be able to see these files when u load it also ]
4]load your linux in E drive
5] load your second fav Linux in F Drive
6] have fun
good luck
