Accesing the Wi-fi modem.

Hi: when I am asked the wi-fi password to reenable the connection in the GUI it's very simple. I just enter the password and press Enter. If the modem is within reach then I get connected. But what if I am in a text console? Is there a utility I can use? Perhaps links or lynks?

Depends on if your still running Network Manager or wicd. They both have command line utilities that can be used instead of the desktop applet. They are called nmcli and wicd-ncurses.

If not running either service then you need to manually setup the connection which depends on the distribution.
