So it is annoying. And against the rules of this forum:
Do not post the same discussion multiple times. Duplicate discussions can be frustrating for other members. Try and pick the most relevant forum for your post. If you are unsure put it in Linux - General.
What I said is not about dual post. Based on some information on the other post, there are likely some extra steps to make a dual boot for Slackware. If I knew earlier, I would ask for opinions on 32-bit Linux distros for dual boot, but not just 32-bit Linux distro.

How has this grown to 31 posts (32 counting mine )???

The answer is so simple:
https://distrowatch.com/search.php?architecture=i686
Please keep in mind that most of the (PC architecture) 32 bit machines around are i686 compatible (and not i386).
For example, I see rumors that Ubuntu is dropping support for i386 - but not 32 bit as such. Or, Archlinux32 installation images are for i686.

It's not a rumour, but a done deed: the last LTS 32-bit version (from 2016) expires next year. What they are doing is supporting those 32-bit libraries which are required for Wine.

Currently running 32-bit Ubuntu-Mate 18.04 on my Dell Mini (Atom N270 1GB RAM). I'm thinking of moving to Debian when it hits EOL.
