I've just updated the Beta to the new release dated August 6. It hasn't been release as a download ISO yet so I'm a little confused about how final this is version is. I note that the "Beta" is missing from the login screen, showing only Deepin 20. From the announcement about the latest upgrade it says that from now on, Long Term releases will be called e.g. Deepin 20 (1000). Later updates will be called Deepin 20 (1010).
Another interesting thing I've seen in the forums is a Tablet version of this running. Whether is was clever graphic work or real, I don't know.

I note in the Deepin forums that there is another OS they are working on and it seems to be a subscription version called UOS (Universal Operating System). It seems most of the development work is going into this to make it ready to replace Windows products when the time comes for China to get rid of Windows.

Things I found with the upgrade.

1) Window boarders can't be dragged open to resize windows. It can be done however by dragging the boarder by holding the Super Key (aka windows key).

2) The "system" directory is not showing in my version of Deepin File Manger. There is a settings option to hide it but mine wasn't checked. So I think this is a bug. I tried editing the file ~/.config/deepin/dde-file-manager but something else seems to overide this. A workaround is to go to the top window bar of file manager and right click on the home icon found on the bar (not the home 'directory') and select the option "edit addresses". Here I put in / and the system file directory opened.

3) Crossover wouldn't install. I installed the 386 libraries as usual. I've found in the past with stubborn Crossover installs that installing Wine and Wine Tricks imports a good number of the libraries needed. I managed to get it going by grabbing (some) of the missing files from the Debian libraries. I took quite a while to get it going. Once running though, it wouldn't import archived apps. (I wonder whether this is deliberately unsupported because the move in China away from Microsoft products.) It is still a work in progress at this point. I should add that I can install apps okay, it's just the importing of archives that isn't working.

4) Gdebi installs but doesn't run. I've yet to work out why that is the case. There is a Deepin .deb installer which works better than the previous version. Maybe I don't need gdebi at all.
