Can't adjust brightness with function key and can't adjust brightness after suspend.

Hello,

I recently installed Deepin 2014.2 on my Toshiba Portege Z935-P300. Everything has been working great so far except for this little problem with the brightness. I am able to change the brightness in the control center but not after a suspend.

In /etc/default/grub
I changed
Code:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash
"
to
Code:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_backlight=vendor"

I also tried this workaround

Neither of them worked

When I run
Code:
ls /sys/class/backlight
I get
Code:
intel_backlight  toshiba

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Deepin Forum kde http://www.linuxdeepin.com/forum/6/27381?#p136153
When I try this method I get the following message when I boot my computer "error: malformed file
press any key to continue.." and I an unable to change the brightness at all.

I reverted back to the previous backlight_helper and now the error message is gone but I am still unable to change the brightness, even through the control center
