anyone getting... high tonight... :P

Smoking my eldest boys stash of Denver legal weed, in a weed illegal state.
100 bucks a ounce in Denver, vs 500 buck a ounce , in the living room I am coughing in.

Pretty good skunked growth I am hitting on tonight.

After I leave here. I will be off to visit my younger brother in Colorado.

Already have, Aug 1st. I can finally have a smoke in my own lounge room, if my mate had any at the moment.

I love weed, but weed and Linux do not go together. Once while using my guinea-pig Edge 15 while high, I had forgotten I installed Arch on it, downloaded an Ubuntu package, and wondered why the file manager wouldn't execute it. Definitely recommend a *buntu, Linux Mint, Windows, or OSX if you're going to frequently toke while using that particular computer. Anything more DIY needs to be approached sober.

There's some debate there, unlike being "drun☠" you are not impaired the same? I've learned to do stuff high before, of course then one may forget their high so that's no fun and a waste of $un...

Just Shiner Blonde longneck beers for tonight. Making plans for future trip to Colorado to visit younger brother later on. In TX. One must be careful. Lot's of border checkpoints in my area.

Willie Nelson spent some time in Jail. 15 miles east of my ranch house. He can tell ya all about what I am saying.

As many of you probably know from other threads I have a rather high resistance to conspiracy theories but I am having a really hard time coming up with a more reasonable answer as to why some states are still dragging their feet and most of all why The Fed still lists marijuana as Schedule 1 as if it had the potential danger of heroin et al. I really really don't like "wasted" but a lil' buzz is no big deal and even in it's smokeable form has several health benefits with only very minor downside even as a potential. CBD oil, with no THC content, is superb at battling upset stomach, pressure in the eyes whether from Diabetes or Glaucoma, mitigates both inflammation and nerve pain, promotes relaxed sleep and a hefty appetite yet it is still monitored heavily in most states in the US, just to keep 'em on their toes. That it has the capability of destroying the multi-billion dollar anti-depressant pharma-market, as just one example, seems a potent cause for Big Biz lobbying and continued insanity.

As I see it one of the disadvantages of illegality is the suppression of conversation and dissemination of reliable information. Under a condition of illegality sides tend to polarize with the few proponents willing to talk unguardedly act as if it is a miracle drug while opponents act as if it is a deadly poison with zero redeeming qualities. I surely hope one day sanity begins to prevail and people can make choices based on solid, verifiable information instead of hype.

I've waited patiently, for nearly 45 years, for the legalization of possession & recreational use of cannabis. As of July 2018 in Canada, we've gotten there. It's pretty much a non-issue for me, but when the retail shops are finally open I'm going to buy a few grams of the best of what they're offering and take couple of selfies for posterity.

We're all dictators to children tho should be more communist?!. ;-)

I don't live where we have it, yet plus don't want to leave my nephews so for now can only assume the industry's banking on it won't soon be as lenient as their states...

eg: I smoked some real good nugs once* the next day got a back injury at work (trying to keep up with the big dogs  and please the boss, NO PUN(!)) ...the potency made me drop real dirty for days after the drug test am sure and the company doing the test said I was more than likely high at work‽ :banghead:

I'll tell you one thing, my next vacation is gonna be somewhere good!

:edit:

Legalization will probably increase tourism here a bit. If you get to know the locals you might connect with the real deal, instead of the govt' taxed/approved product.
