I can double-click an application's upper-left-corner icon to quit?
I just accidentally discovered I can close an application by clicking twice on its icon in the upper left corner. Interesting. There is little reason to do this anyway, because the X in the upper right works fine for that purpose (hence I never tried the upper left); but in the twelve years I've used Linux daily, I had no idea. Just curious, has this always been an option (if a pointless one)? I wonder if it's a universal thing; e.g., whether Windows and/or Apple users can also do it.

I phrased my question that way because some users just don't know their window manager, and it's easy enough to figure it out if they do know the desktop.
I do remember that XFCE's wm shows little icons in the corner, just never thought to double click one. I wonder if that's some long forgotten about default, or a new one?
