DuckDuckGo appears to be down

When I try to search, I get

There was an error displaying the search results. Please try again.
This has been going on for over an hour now. I can still search with Google.

We're currently experiencing an issue with DuckDuckGo Search. Thanks for your patience while we get our ducks in a row.
So it seems...

Apparently the main problem is with Microsoft. Bing and ChatGPT are down, and DDG seems to be involved with Bing somehow. Not quite what they promised us!

Very old news. Many of the search engines, such as Qwant, use Bing as well, but duckduckgo is more closely involved. It uses both Bing and Yahoo as I recall.

It's also hosted on MS Azure servers based in the US (along with projects hosted on github: https://github.com/duckduckgo). Hard to see how it's "private"...

Yes, it works for me too now. First thing I searched is "duckduckgo outage". Plenty of hits!

DDG my default search engine. I have experienced no issues with it over the past few days, but maybe my timing was just lucky.

I use six different browsers, each with a different default search engine. Only BING and the ones that depend upon Bing were down.

By the time I checked dogpile the issue at Bing was gone, so I cannot attest to it being robust through this, but I THINK it was.
