Sorry I thought I had watched Gone To Earth in the past, but after seeing it last night I realised that it was a different film that I had never seen before. If I had previously seen it, then I would have chosen different subsequent movies. It was a very bad and unfortunate coincidence, without the slightest intention.

Idealism versus reality

Nearly all the movies here are from the pre-tv era and wouldn't even rate as B movies these days.

Let me ask: Are you guys trying (like me) to avoid the sex, violence, language, pure hatred and other features that make many modern movies a negative experience for many? Or are you movie enthusiasts?

Did you miss the title of the thread? "Good old movie" implies movies that are or were considered at the time of release) good, and are OLD!
Personally, I like several of the ones form before they used color. The camera work was fantastic in the best of those films, and few movie makers today could do nearly as well if they were restricted to black and white.
