Hi all,
a few weeks ago. upgraded my Fedora 27 system to Fedora 28 which went pretty well.
After the latest update my system fails to boot and drops into an emergency shell. I have my ROOT+HOME partitions encrypted via LUKS. Installed kernel versions are 4.16.6 & 4.16.5. As a side note, I am asked for the passphrase three times, which never happened before. Not sure if this is related to my issue.
I receive the following warning:
Code:
/dev/fedora/root not found
/dev/fedora/swap not found
/dev/fedora/home not found
It gives a hint to a created textfile with more details. There I detect lines at the end telling me that initqueue timed out (I assume because it cannot find the partitions in question).
As I cannot save the file to an USB-stick, it‘s not possible to post the exact contents of this file here.
I can boot into a rescue system. There I amended my
/etc/fstab to identify my partition by UUID, regenerated the initramfs and updated GRUB just for good measure.
It didn‘t help ((
I am more than happy to hear tips on how to fix it. I will try to provide additional information when you tell me what you need in order to be able to help.
Thanks very much in advance
