problem with wicd

Upon logging in, I get this message:

"Wic'd needs to access your computer's network cards."

I then type in my super user credentials. After I hit log in, the following message comes up:

"Could not connect to wicd's D-Bus interface. Check the wic'd log for error messages."

I hit ok. Then....

Message:

"The wic'd daemon has shut down. The UI will not function properly until it is restarted."

I would like to solve these issues so that I can connect to the internet. Thanks.

LQ won't close the thread, but, if you click to edit your first post and then click to "Go Advanced," you can mark it as "Solved" in the subject line.
