have a slight problem .. used apt-get install mysql-server-4.1 to install mysql .. and it worked perfectly .. i also have apache2.0.55 installed .. working fine .. so i decided to intall php5.. buuut .. i really don't know wich packages will i need, so found myself a HOWTO .. and decided to use good old ./configure make make install, but i have a problem ... can't configure ...
I have the following error...

configure: error: Cannot find MySQL header files under /usr/bin/mysql.
Note that the MySQL client library is not bundled anymore.

any suggestions ?

i would be very apriciated if u good point the packages wich i should get with apt-get ...?

You need to install the devel (dev) packages of mysql. I think you only installed the binary packages.

Yeah ... install libmysqlclient-dev .. and it configured nicely thnx!
