Difficulty with plexmediaserver

I am running Calculate Linux 17 x86_64, and plexmediaserver Version 1.4.4.3495.

PMS installed, and runs, but no videos will play. I keep getting the message: "Conversion failed. A required codec could not be found."

I have tried .mp4, .mkv, and .flv. Same message every time.

I got it working by upgrading my system. That upgraded Plex from 1.4.4 to 1.5.5.
