Just recently finished my study on Basic Linux (level 1), just new around here and with linux. Next month after saving enough money, I could continue my second level.

As a long time dos / windows user I have finally took steps to switch to Linux. I've multi-boot my notebook and added a 2nd hard drive to my desktop so I can migrate and have by backup up for windows apps that I need for work. My 1st goal is to replace my desk top duties which will be about 90% easy to do is coming along fine. It is a little disconcerting to not know right away what to do when something does not work but I will keep at it. I've installed the Debian distro because of the abundance of technical programs and server functions and the installs have been easy.

You should look into using Virtualbox - no need for all those partitions.
