    By the way, if you meant xterm on top of X because xterm is supposed to run on X, then you are correct.

    So you just ran Firefox right from xterm without first running a Window Manager or a desktop environment.

    Got A New Cooling Fan

    I got that fan in Japan.
    On the catalog, it was saying that the noise level of the fan was 40.8db.
    The problem was that I didn't know how noisy 40.8db was.

    Some said 40db is like a library.
    (Maybe, they play iPods in the library.)

    Some said it depends on the frequency.
    40db at low frequency isn't so bad while 40db at high frequency sounds like Mini-me

    I bet on the first theory because it sounded much simpler and easier to follow.

    But, I guess I got a Mini-me one. T_T

    7k rpm? omg... suicide. nightmare. what could possibly be worse? where did you get that monster?
    i don't think my all 4 working computers can beat that noise your 7k rpm fan is making.
