Hello, and thank you for reading my blog.
My name is Joel, I come from Croydon, UK and am in my second year of studying computer science at Exeter University. I have been a member of LQ for almost 3 years, and have made a total of 10 posts. Let's say I'm not what you would call the most committed member of this site. When bored I read the community bulletins sent out by email, and I happened to be reading one today that mentioned this blog. I thought to myself; "Wow! A blog! I've never had one of those before. I can post my deepest darkest thoughts online for the whole world to see!", so here I am. This is my first experience with blogging, and I'm quite enjoying it so far.
Anyway, what I have to report is that after 8 years of that old-fashioned thing we call dial-up, I have finally persuaded my father to get us broadband! We are probably going with Tiscali, on their 1Mb package. We are upgrading from dial-up on around the 12th April. I long for that day! I have it in my diary! (No, I don't really, but thought I would make my blog sound a little more dramatic!)
Signing off now. Another post will follow when I come back from holiday!
