Problems installing Arya 1.0

Hi,
I'm trying to install Arya builder in Virtualbox, in a headless ubuntu host with Blackbox as wm.
I also created a partition table with 1M for bios-grub, 550 M for boot and the 45G for root.
But I keep getting the following error message that stops the install:

Installing for i386-pc platform.
grub-install: warning: File system 'fat' doesn't support embedding.
grub-install: warning: Embedding is not possible. GRUB can only be installed in this setup by blocklists. However, blocklists are UNRELIABLE and their use is discouraged..
grub-install: error: will not proceed with blocklists.
Error occurred while running stage 4.

What I've tried until now:
2 - Tried install it as MBR parttions. Same Result.
3 - Tried install it as EFI. Same result.
My computer supports EFI, but I wanted to try both, to see if it had anything to do with it. The error is the same in both cases,except in one it refers to "ext4" for MBR and "fat" for EFI.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That just complains about a fat file system. Try ntfs.

Hi business_kid, thank you for taking the time to answer.
Although in the example it complains about a fat file (there because of EFI), when I tried to install in MBR, it complained about the ext4 file.
Do you think ntfs would help?

I haven't a clue - I'm just suggesting what looks practical Grub is ready for a few filesystems. I'm surprised it doesn't take ext4. I suggested trying ntfs, or ext2; Also fat is old - win 95? 'vfat' is newer.

My real advice was: If you have no way of finding out what filesystems grub supports (e,g, by READING something) try other filesystems.

Grub takes takes all ext fs, aswell as fat. That shouldn't be the problem.
I just thought you knew, something.

I'm no software guru - despite the rating here. On grub especially. I'm primarily a hardware head with a fairly well developed intuition, a bit of commonsense, and a well developed 'seat of the pants' with plenty of skidmarks on it :-).
