I would like to write in my language, Spanish, but since everything is in English here, it forces me to do it in a language I do not know very well.
I want to tell you that I have been using MX Linux for more than a year and it is a fantastic, stable and very well designed distribution to run quickly on both old and newer computers.
I would like to have a group on this page to share experiences with MX Linux.

can I just say, have you tried others to get an over all better idea/view on what is good - better - best - out there? Just trying one and saying it is the best is not a fair comparison of distros, not to say that MX Linux is not a decent enough disto to get one around the back yard, and perhpas across the street.


these are metaphors I speak with of course. You do have a blog you can use in here too from what I hear. You just need to set it up.

MX Linux es una excelente distribucion para novatos.
Te introduce al uso de Debian, que es una de las mejores distribuciones de Linux.
Ya con el tiempo, talves te aburras de usar un sistema algo pesado y un poco atrazado en los paquetes (MX está basado en Debian Estable) y decidas explorar otras opciones, como instalar y aprender a usar Debian Testing.

Sofia-M; te comento mi experiencia en GNU/Linux
Desde el año 2009 comencé a usar distribuciones de GNU/Linux como Ubuntu, que no me agradó del todo (horrible para mi gusto) y luego encontré Kubuntu que me pareció con mejor trabajo. Entonces comencé a ser lo que llaman "Distroshop" probando cuanta distribución aparecía con escritorio KDE (Mint, OpenSUSE, Mageia, Netrunner, Neptune, ROSA, OpenMandriva, entre las que me acuerdo) y también experimenté con Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Mate Mint, Cinnamont Mint, Elementary, KaOS, Deepin, y también con derivadas de Debian como base y otras tantas que no me acuerdo.
Tan pronto las instalaba me parecían fabulosas, las ponderaba mucho, las promocionaba y quería que mis amigos y familiares las instalaran hasta me ofrecía para hacerlo pero, con el paso del tiempo, me terminaban aburriendo hasta que, en noviembre de 2017, me encontré con la beta de MX Linux 17, la probé y me gustó tanto que desde esa fecha no he vuelto a probar ni por curiosidad otra distribución. Ahora en mis máquinas se instala MX 18 Continunn como único sistema.
Así que este "novato" en GNU/Linux no quiere curiosear con más sistemas "pesados" porque después de 8 años de trajinar con dualboot y 2 años con una única distribución; ya encontré la distribución que se ajusta a mis gustos y necesidades y puedo modificarla y personalizarla como yo lo desee, aunque habrá gente que prefiera otra distribución y por eso el mundo de GNU/Linux es como los colores... cada quién elige el que más le gusta.

Edit: That doesn't mean that you have to construct all your thoughts in English. If you write in another language, put it into a translator like Google Translate and then paste the translated text here rather than the original language text then that will do. It won't be perfect but at least folk will be able to understand it.
