I found the following howto, but I can't find where to put my cursor to make it work.
Could someone describe the process better or show a screen shot please. 12.04
You can tailor Unity lots more, as described in the comprehensive Ubuntu Desktop Guide. To access the Guide, just hover the cursor over the top left panel bar when you have an empty desktop. The default hidden menu appears. Select Help on this menu and you'll see the Guide:
Did'nt get any screenshots but the desktop guide is online, ya know...

umm, what's this cursor? Are you in a man-page? It looks liek taxt only...if so, use the arrow keys to get around, "close" the screen (man page- with Esc-colon-Q (these three keys in that sequence...)
On the other hand, if you need a bit more help, feel free to expand the question a bit...
But its bugging me not being able to find this so called hidden menu.
Owww, so THAT's the problem...

You may have to tinker with some settings here...usually, when I install an new one with XFCE, I make the panel floop away...so, possibly that's the sollution...
Thanks for posting your find...this should help others in the future with the same question...by the way, cool of you to have marked this as solved as well
