fglrx+xgl+compiz=happy happy joy joy

i finally figured it out! it took me a few days but i eventually caught on. sorry for being so dense. thanks for all your help in this matter. my desktop is now a joy to work with. using amaranths repositories for compiz, i found trevino's to be broken on my machine. any one else with the same experience?? well thanks again and i'll be back!
