Thunderbird 1.5.0.4, amaroK crash on start

SuSE 10.1 is great, except its stability with some programs is ridiculously terrible. Thunderbird and amaroK all crash instantly for me.

Kaffeine crashes too.

For me using Gnome, F-Spot crashes on startup. Loading the Nvidia driver with "tiny-nvidia-installer" messed things up so bad, I couldn't get out of level 3. Nothing I tried got it repaired so I had to do a clean install. I want to know if others have succeeded with the 3D driver before I try again.
