Server looking up its own hostname every 2 minutes

Hi

I am running a Suse server and would like to troubleshoot the following problem: (Not that big a deal, but still bothersome!)

ANY IDEAS Where to start?

Something on my server is looking up the server's dns entry a few times every 2 minutes! How stupid!!!

You could add the addresses to /etc/hosts

Well... Maybe try doing it through YaST instead of hand editing it.

Umm pls! Can't you read? Open YaST - > Network Services -> Host Names

What is so hard about that?

Then again, maybe not.

It is listed in Yast, along with all the aliases (I gather Yast is SOO COOL it takes it from the hosts file)...

Anyways, so it must be some other Stupid Ass Program commenting it out...

Hah, I don't suppose anyone know of any program that would do this?
(No, it wasn't me!)
