Serial Port taken by Ext Modem. I need to use one of my(2) USB ports to convert

to another serial port, I need a serial port to connect my digital camera to. The problem is my modem uses that port. I bought a conversion cable that makes a USB port become a serial port. I can now use my camera in the USB port. Anyone have any ideas on configuring my USB port as another serial port? Thanks

I don´t think the digital camera is connected to the serial port.
Usually digital cameras have a USB connection.

Its a new(never used) 4 yr old Kodak DC210 Mega Pixel camera. Intended for serial port connection, but if I knew how to make my computer recognize my USB port as a serial port, it should work.
