I did a rdp from a win7 desktop into my headless suse 11.1 server and upgraded to 11.2 via yast. Not a single problem the whole way! Everything is working great.

Still living on Richmond, Slack? Last we spoke I think you said you had just moved here from NYC...

yast on line updates. 11.2

It has been said here that only paying punters can register but my upgrade seems to insist on this before I can update the system. It does suggest I unlock pin xxxx . Would 'lockfile -! xxxx' do this or cause more problems? Would Zypper override such a lock?

If you have openssuse not NOvell Suse it must be possible to update without any problems .
What exactly is the error message ?

I like KDE , I am waiting for a stable release of KDE.

I tried 4.0 it has a lot of bugs. Does any one of suse 11.2 is using KDE ???

what abt it ??

Actually I want to know info abt these things .......

for KDE 4.3 of SuSE 11.2

fn key are working are not ?? volume up , volume down, wifi ,fn number pad
touch pad drivers are working are not ??
