gPodder on Suse 10?

Has anyone successfully installed gPodder: perli.net/projekte/gpodder/gPodder on Suse 10.0? This podcatching client integrates gtkpod at the back end for an automatic syn to your ipod. However the dependencies seem really difficult to get on Suse.
Quote:
Base dependencies;
* python (tested with python-2.3)
* python-gtk2
* python-glade2
* python-xml
* wget

iPod support

iPod synchronization support is optional, and if the required packages are not found, gPodder will disable iPod synchronization features. To enable the synchronization support, please be sure to install the following additional packages:

* python-eyed3
* python-gpod
Any suggestions?

I'm having similar problems. Keep trying to dig down and get all the dependancies, finally got to a point where one of them tried to wipe out about 50 packages already installed. Has anyone achieved this?

gPodder on SuSe 10.1

I've successfully got gPodder running by installing some of the 'similar' packages for SuSe... but the iPod Sync just stumped me.

It's not that the alternatives are unusable, I'd just like to see whether it offers some of the 'missing featuresw' of gtkpod - like monitoring directories, or a scheduled sync.

You might try Dopi as well... http://www.snorp.net/log/dopi

If you've installed banshee, you already have the ipod-sharp library it'll need.

Still searching for the perfect app :-)
