Disabling the Windbind service.

For some reason, windbind screws up the samba shares on the SuSE server at work. I have been doing a /etc/init.d/windbind stop whenever the server is rebooted.

I'm tempted to just move the windbind script file out of the init.d directory. But I'm wondering what would be the best way to disable the windbind service in SuSE 9.3.

The reason I'm asking is that it's a flawlessly running business server, and I don't want to do anything to keep me working late Saturday.

Yast --> system --> system services (Runlevel) --> expert mode (radio button) --> winbind --> togglo to off + uncheck runlevels (probably 2,3,5 - I forget)

Enjoy the next Saturday
