Boot hangs at "Starting resource manager"
Hi all,
I changed the /etc/X11/xdm/XServers file to reduce my number of X displays by one (it was eating too much memory) today - and then rebooted. When I booted up it hung at the bit saying "Starting resouce manager done".
I then turned off and booted from the installation CD to get into the rescue mode and changed the file back. I rebooted and it STILL hangs at the same place.
I can boot from the rescue thing and get into a runlevel 3 system fine - and see all my files etc - but I can't boot normally.
What should I do now?
Thanks in advance,
Robin
