Autodetect hard drive

I have a WinXP hard drive that I want to get some files off of. Actually I think it is dying and I want to get what I can and I don't trust Winbloz, it is acting flaky. Anyway, I am new to SUSE 9.1 and I need to know how I can read this other drive. It isn't detected when I connect it up and reboot into SUSE. Can someone give me a hand here?

Thanks

Is it not detected at all? Try 'fdisk -l' to see all available drives (be root!). If you see it listed there, you only need to mount it. Otherwise you may need to activate the controller in the BIOS.
