"admission denied" even though i am root and there's plenty of space

i downloaded a couple of tracks and cars for racer and want to copy it from /home/ungua to /lib/games/racer/data/cars, that won't work:

anyone any ideas? the folder "admissions" says that the owner can both read and write, but i cannot change anything in these options.

i was wrong, i was not logged in as root. after doing so, i could copy and unpack. but the question is then: why not as the main user...?

because only root has write permissions to /lib

and why is that? why is a game based on addons & mods automatically installed in such a folder? makes no sense to me...

common .jpg files? "reading and writing possible". in file:/usr/lib/games/racer/data/cars/fer312 there are .bmp wth the same attributes, but there i cannot change them.
