[9.1 pro] USB modem, installed, working but error on connecting

Hello,

I have a SmartUSB56 external modem. I went to their webpage and installed the drivers and after a few tryes i actually made it and it appears to work. I link it to /dev/modem and KPPP is seeing it and it even dials but after the dial finishes and it should send the password and all i get this a error saying that it failed to start or so. This is the error log:

Code:
Oct 18 07:27:27 localhost pppd[6645]: Can't open options file
/etc/ppp/peers/kppp: No such file or directory
So what do i have to do to get rid of this and finally get my connection up?

I donīt know, how kppp works. My Smartlink-winmodem works perfectly with kinternet. Maybe you should do this, too. Normally kinternet is the standard for Suse.

Ciao

I tryed both Kinternet and Qinternet and i get the same error message on them:

Code:
Connection to local and remote server refused. Maybe smpppd is not running or you are not member of the group "dialout". Also check the server settings in the dialog "Various Settings".
I checked about the group and i am a member of dialout. I checked the Various Settings but i dont see much i could do there. And i dont know what smpppd is and/or how to activate it.

I dont care if i use Kinternet, Qinternet or KPPP. I just wanna get online already lol.. plz help someone

Alright i activated that smpppd now and KPPP still doesnt work but Kinternet and Qinternet work. The problem is now that after a few mins my modem just disconnects itself. I have turned the timeout in yast off and Kinternet and/or Qinternet dont even recognize my modem disconnecting. I cant access any more webpages though.

Bah setting this up for 2 weeks now. 2 WEEKS!!! Darn modem ill throw it out of the window soon... h3lp plz
