Slackware 14.0 - Blackscreen after 'startx' and unfunctional keyboard

Hey,
installed Slackware 14.0 and everything went well.
I can boot it and there was no errors during installation.

But my problem is now when I try to start X my screen just instantly goes black and my keyboard is unusable (can't see caps lock or NUM lock's leds on).

I have googled for few days and have tried to:
- 'xorgsetup' command
- replacing startx config folder ('/etc/X11/' with another one (used debians -- no results and sounded stupid but tried)
- reinstall slackware 14.0
- 'startx -- -bpp 8' command
- uncommenting 'vga' lines in X config file

Well, there are few... but in general I have no idea what I'm doing since I'm pretty new to linux.

Ya and here are few interesting lines from 'Xorg.0.log' from EOF.
And just in case my video card is 'ATI Radeon HD 3650'.

If you want someone to help you, you should give details about hardware. I.e. what say the command:

lspci

Also, will be nice to say the model of motherboard, video card, etc...

Did you remove any packages, such as possible window managers or desktop environments?

As I can see, you have two AMD video devices, is this by any chance a laptop with switchable graphics? In that case I would recommend to install the proprietary driver from AMD.

This is desktop PC but I think it does have two video cards -- another one being integrated.
But I try to look for drivers and install 'em and will report.

If this is a desktop it would for a start help to deactivate the integrated video chip in the BIOS.

I tried to do that but couldn't find anything at BIOS. But will look further in google.

Made that but had no effect at all. (kinda not sure if I added 'nopat' correctly but saw example somewhere)
Code:
# Append any additional kernel parameters:
append=" vt.default_utf8=0 nopat "
But ya, made progress (kinda) by installing 'amd-driver-installer-12.6-legacy-x86.x86_64.zip'.
Problem is now this : my screen isn't turning into black and my keyboard isn't disabled but instead I can see very simple error.

#I get this after 'startx'.#

So, no screen is found, I guess? And also right after installing ATI driver I typed this command 'aticonfig --initial' but now after reboot when I type 'aticonfig' I get error that command is invalid / not found -- guess this means that drivers aren't loaded after reboot and I have to load 'em manually (which is enigma for me).

rename your old X config file (if any) as xorg.conf.orig then type this as root:
Code:
cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf-vesa /etc/X11/xorg-vesa.conf
After that X should start.

I removed all Xorg files from '/etc/X11/" and fortunately now after startx I can see for first time graphics -- blue background and some icon of hard drive(for 5-10seconds) -- then it goes back to console with these errors:

So at this moment I have still fresh installation of Slack 14.0 and installation of AMD ATI radeon repository drivers.
Think I'm close to beat this problem but... dunno.

libsqlite is part of sqlite, which installed by default on a full install, so either you don't have a full install or something is seriously wrong on your system.

Thanks everybody.
Got it to work now and running slackware ATM.

In case someone will have exactly same issue : install sqlite from cd/usbdrv by applying command 'installpkg' to it... then install ati driver http://lotphelp.com/lotp/install-ati...ckware-linux-2.

But ya, this is solved and now moving to next problems ffs...
