So I broke my Slackware 13.0 by messing around with new e2fsprogs, udev and linux-utils package.
At startup I get errors with libblkid. I can't get a prompt.
I want to remove the old packages and reinstall the original ones.
I could boot on a USB Slackware image, mount the partition but then I am not sure what to do.
Can I use removepkg and installpkg to manage packages that are not on the root partition?
Or can I extract the packages and install the files manually?
Why don't you use the slackware install cd/dvd?
just boot it up as normal then mount your root partition in /mnt then chroot it so that is the root then use pkgtools to fix the issues (or removepkg, installpkg)
