Smile find: WARNING: Hard link count is wrong for /proc/1:

Hi Everybody,

I installed Slackware 12 on a Dell Server Poweredge 2550 (2) 1.0 Ghz, 2GB RAM, RAID 5. I recompiled the kernel, for I needed some extra features. Now, everytime I type the "find" command to do a search on root "/" it gives me the following notice:

"find: WARNING: Hard link count is wrong for /proc/1: this may be a bug in your filesystem driver. Automatically turning on find's -noleaf option. Earlier results may have failed to include directories that should have been searched."

I did a search about issue, but I found nothing to resolve it.

Your help is greatly appreciated

Unless your specifically searching /proc.. I would either ignore it, or just change find to noleaf.. like it suggests. /proc isn't a "file"system as such, as the files don't really exist. Its a RAM-drive for all intents and purposes..
Quote:
alias find='find -noleaf'
Lazy.. but works.

WARNING: hard link count is wrong for /proc/1

Hi grizly,

Thank you for your suggestion. I decided to blow the machine and start from scratch. I'm recompiling the kernel. I think I had added some extra modules that I should had.

I tell you if I experience the same issue after done everything from scratch.

Thanks again
