How to connect to win2000 internet server

Hi,
I have computer with Linux Slackware 2.4.18.
Can I connect to Win2000 Server, so I can get internet access ?
Right now, I already set my computer as like this :

my computer ---------> server (Win 2000) ------------> internet
ip 192.168.1.33 share internet connection
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1
(linux slackware 2.4.18)

Right now, I can ping to server and other computer (win 98).
But I can't ping to public ip (216.239.39.99 / google.com). There is message said host unreachable.

I've check /etc/resolv.conf
search 192.168.1.1
nameserver 202.146.255.3 (it's my dns server from ISP)

What should I check / set ?

Check that your windows 2000 machine is set as a "Gateway" for the other machines on your network (including your slackware machine).

This can be done through a software called ICS ("Internet Connection Sharing"). You can find more information on the following sites:

on linux machine termian "netconf"

hostname: your name? dns: gatewat adress? (doesnt really matter) gateway: win2k server ip?

ohh, name server must be gateway ip, at least that worked for me!

i edited /etc/resolv.conf :
search 192.168.1.1
nameserver 192.168.1.1 202.146.255.3

booommm ! so happy right now. i can use internet to find resources right now without to restart my computer to windows.

And if all works well you'll have windows
routed through the lack-box in no time :)
